How It All Started
Born and raised in South Carolina (except for a couple of cold teenage years in Illinois), Melanie is a southern girl through and through. She recently relocated to Murrells Inlet, South Carolina after almost 39 years in Georgia. From a young age, Melanie was a natural peacemaker as the third daughter of six girls. That covers a lot of potential therapy content right there!
The Journey Continues
For as long as Melanie can remember, people have come to her when they needed a listening ear. Over the years, she’s had different interests but all of them had one thing in common: helping people to live a full, authentic life in relationship with God and with others.
Melanie: Family and Friends
Melanie is known by many as the wife of “Chef Mike.” In October 2023, they were married for 39 years. Together, they have one son, Jonathan, who resides in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina with his best friend and bride, Courtney.
When not at work or studying, Melanie enjoys hanging out with family and friends especially sharing concerts, musicals, movies, Mexican food, dessert, or coffee with the people she loves.
She also relishes her pajama-clad mornings where she can get quiet and hear from God. A sucker for a well-crafted story, Melanie loves to escape with a good book. She also enjoys singing, playing the piano, and is always game for a road trip with buddies. In the future, she hopes to see and experience more of the world with those she loves.
