Women's Support Groups
My Family Counselor offers small, faith-centered support groups for women navigating betrayal, relational wounds, and the long road back to wholeness. These groups provide a structured, safe space where healing happens in community rather than in isolation.
Women’s Support Group
There is something uniquely powerful about sitting in a room — even a virtual one — with other women who understand what you have been through. Healing does not always happen alone. Sometimes it happens when someone else names what you could not, and you realize you are not as alone as you thought.
Melanie facilitates small, intentional groups grounded in Scripture and supported by evidence-based resources. Groups are kept small by design to protect the safety and trust of every participant. No one is rushed or pressured to share — each woman contributes as she feels led.
Current & Upcoming Groups
Groups are offered periodically and shared through trusted referral relationships rather than open enrollment. If you are interested in joining a future group, contact Melanie directly to be added to the interest list.
Melanie’s Experience
Melanie has walked alongside women through some of the most painful chapters of their lives — betrayal, loss, broken trust, and the slow work of rebuilding. Her training includes facilitating the Betrayal and Beyond curriculum developed by Pure Desire Ministries, a structured, evidence-based program specifically designed for women who have experienced sexual or relational betrayal.
She understands that this kind of healing requires more than information. It requires safety, honesty, and the kind of community where women can bring their whole story.
Areas Addressed in Group:
- Betrayal and relational trauma
- Rebuilding trust and identity
- Emotional and spiritual healing

Frequently Asked Questions for Women’s Support Groups:
Is this group confidential?
Participants commit to a shared standard of privacy that protects every member of the group — what is shared in the group stays in the group. It is important to note that as a licensed facilitator, Melanie is a mandated reporter, meaning there are specific legal circumstances under which she is required to report. She will explain these clearly before the group begins so there are no surprises.
How do I know if a group is right for me?
If you have experienced betrayal — whether sexual, relational, or emotional — and you are ready to begin moving toward healing in a safe, structured environment, a group may be a good fit. In this space, no one is rushed or pressured to share. Each woman contributes as she feels led, and many find that hearing others’ stories gives them the courage to voice their own. If you are unsure whether a group is right for you, reach out to Melanie for a brief conversation before committing.
How do I get started?
Because these groups are kept intentionally small, space is limited and participants are welcomed through a brief intake process. Contact Melanie directly to express your interest or ask questions. She will respond personally to discuss whether the group is a good fit and let you know about upcoming availability.
